Morning and afternoon #food of choice for the # kingdom and #soul…

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will added to you. (Matt 6:33)

Today, our kingdom can be several things. It involves the participation and effort that we invest in with the expectation of a great outcome. Our internal kingdom tends to dictate the choices in which we make. They can be vital or have little to no significance at all. What we do in our daily lives represent our body, mind and soul. However, the kingdom of God is the most profitable investment one can make. It is a choice that has significant rewards that are unimaginable. So, I challenge you today to eliminate the kingdom in your mind. Instead, seek the everlasting kingdom that stands and will not fail in any situation. The true test relies on us.

Late #evening and after #midnight #delight…

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matt 11:28)

When we are exhausted mentally, emotionally and physically we tend to go into default mode. It’s our natural ability to go in the way we are most comfortable with. At times it may be quite tiresome and affects those we are surrounded by each day. The world as we know may provide places of relaxation and comfort. It seems fitting for the moment and by all means it does provide relief. Let us not disregard the services provided that remove us from various levels of stress. They are very helpful. However, there is a dwelling place that we can tap into spiritually, mentally and emotionally. It’s completely in the hands of Christ. I challenge you to hand over the weight of your world to the one who created it.

Late #afternoon #snack…

I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.(Ps 37:25)

No matter what happens around us, you  are not affected once adopted into the kingdom as saints. However, there will be tests and trials. The assurance here is that, our needs will be met and supplied. Let us build our faith in this very thing that has been promised to those who believe. It remains the same as it ever was. Who and what has altered us to not live on this promise?

#Friday #morning #food for the #soul…

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat it’s fruits. (Prov 18:21)

It’s a matter of what the heart is holding captive. It will be released from the words we speak. What is resting in the hearts and minds of us today? What form of power are we speaking into our lives and the lives of others? What will you reap from it? The challenge is to exercise your words with the greatest power.

#Hunger right before bed…

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.(Prov 3:5-6)

First, what and who do we put our trust in if we are not trusting anything at all? When we are planning a road trip towards a destination, we are determined to arrive at an appointed time. We put our trust in the performance of the car to get us from point A to B but most of all we stay in our lanes to avoid any accidents or head on collisions. We do this because we are “driven” to finish what we have started and have put complete trust in our heart and mind to get to our destination. The same “trust” that we invest in keeps our mind focused on a certain thing. What are we allowing our hearts and mind to trust, rely and focus on? What is the reward, if any? Will it keep us from driving in the wrong direction? Are we riding in both lanes? Have we asked or allowed God to take the wheel completely?

Late Afternoon #nourishment…

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. (Eph 5:6)

Rebellion is the outcome here and there is no relief from it. However, walking in faith and speaking your destiny allows progress and diminishes debris.

Thursday #morning #meal…

My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline and do not resent his rebuke because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.(Prov 3:11-12)

All situations, dilemmas, circumstances and trials have purpose. No matter how instense the present moment may seem, there is always molding and shaping of our character. God has a purpose for each and everyone of us if we allow him to work for our good. Some may say how is this attainable? The challenge here is to ask yourself, what am I contributing to this ordeal? What can one do different?

#Midday #meal for the #hungry…

Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among people. (Acts 6:8)

Here, we see that faith set forth will produce things that may seem far fetched but it’s really not.  However, the real  challenge to you is to perform a simple good deed out of your comfort zone that will produce a positive result.

#Breakfast for now…

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”(Matt 4:4)

The thought of the day is, can we really live on bread alone? Most would say no. However, the vital passage above is referring to your spiritual versus your natural body. How much food are you eating? What kinds of food? How many times do you eat during the period of a day? However, the real question is, how much of God are you applying to your daily life for sustainment ? Do you consider him and his words to be a simple “snack” or a “full course meal?”
